Oklahoma City, OK – Fatal Motorcycle Crash on I-40 Near I-35 North On-Ramp

Oklahoma City, OK (August 27, 2025) – An 18-year-old man from Norman was killed in a motorcycle crash on I-40 near the I-35 north on-ramp early Sunday morning, August 24, at approximately 1:40 a.m.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the rider was traveling westbound on I-40 at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his motorcycle. Witnesses reported that the motorcycle began to wobble before the rider struck the inside wall and then the outside barrier. The impact ejected him over the interstate wall and onto a riverbank below.

The motorcycle came to rest on the outside shoulder. Tragically, the rider was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
